The Coca Cola Company which started in  1886 is one of the most recognized brand in the world.  Coke,  also is widely know for its advertisements, social impacts. Coke is brand known for its great taste, bottle design, print ads, video ads, slogans, social works. To us its one of our favorite brand :)

The Logo was designed by Frank Mason Robinson, in 1885. The typeface used, known as Spencerian script, was developed in the mid 19th century and was the dominant form of formal handwriting in the United States during that period. The most amazing this is that this type still remains the same and is considered one of the most recognizable brands of the world.

In 1941 it was nicknamed “Coke”.

The Bottle Shape

Bottlers worried that the straight-sided bottle for Coca-Cola was easily confused with imitators. A group representing the Company and bottlers asked glass manufacturers to offer ideas for a distinctive bottle. A design from the Root Glass Company of Terre Haute, Indiana won enthusiastic approval in 1915 and was introduced in 1916. The contour bottle became one of the few packages ever granted trademark status by the U.S. Patent Office.

The unique shape of the bottle also helps in its sale value as it stands out on the shelves of the supermarket. For a person it also holds perfect while drinking. Some men like the curves 😉 .Today, it’s one of the most recognized icons in the world – even in the dark!

The Early Print Ads

Coca-Cola’s advertising had started in 1980s and has significantly affected American culture. The ads are also theme based that is always speak about an event, happiness or mood. The use of Santa Claus in 1930s turned out good for the company and there was a coincidence that both Coke and Santa share the same colors : white and red. The company also has brand ambassadors / models in the print ads from 1980s.

The themes were surrounded around refresh, thirst, love, society, America, polar bear, Santa Claus, and more.

Here are few of the ones
Coca-Cola first print ad was published in 1895 featuring a young Bostonian actress named Hilda Clark who was the company spokesperson.
